A misty Spring
morning on the Conwy estuary and 57601 plods across the cob towards
Conwy with the Holy Oakes charter by Spitfire Railtours from
Weston-Super-Mare to Holyhead. 26/03/2011
601 entering the
Conwy River bridge. 26/03/2011
On the rear end
of the train were two WCRC class 37's numbers 37676 "Loch
Rannoch" (remember that name?) and 37685. 26/03/2011
601 emerging from
the bridge alongside the magnificent castle at Conwy.....
.....followed
by the two class 37's. 26/03/2011
The bridge in its
entirety. 26/03/2011
On Conwy station
the return of the charter is preceded by the arrival of 150258
in the down platform. 26/03/2011
As the class 150
left, 158819 entered the up platform en route for Birmingham
International. 26/03/2011
With characteristic
growl the two 37's left the tunnel led by 685.....
.....followed by
676 "Loch Rannoch". I believe this is
the first time the name has been seen on the coast since the
demise of 37408. 26/03/2011
