The shape
of things to come - Voyager class units 220 018 leading 220 017
(left) wait in Crewe's platform 6 to leave for Edinburgh. Meanwhile,
in platform 5, an HST set, comprising 43104 leading 43195, leaves
South with an Edinburgh-Plymouth working. Everything about the
Voyager seems to be small especially the wheels. 10/4/2002
47812 "Pride
of Eastleigh" leaves Crewe with the afternoon Liverpool-Poole
working. 10/4/02
37415 and
37419 wait in the dappled evening sunshine at Crewe after bringing
in 1Z43, the 15.20, Wales & Borders service from Cardiff
Central. The locomotives were running round the stock in preparation
for removing it to the LNWR carriage sidings for servicing. 5/4/2002
The 15.20,
Wales & Borders, Cardiff-Crewe service was double headed
today. 37419 pilots 37415 into Crewe just a couple of minutes
down. Pity about the clock and platform number but at least we
know what time it arrived. 5/4/2002
The two locomotives
detached at ran out for the runround procedure. 5/4/2002
Onto the
Chester line and back through the centre road. 5/4/2002
The return
to platform 12 and the ecs. 5/4/2002
A few minutes
wait for a clear road to cross over to the carriage sheds and
off they went. 5/4/2002
Crossing
over and all is ended.........until the Rugex specials tomorrow!
This is 37 heaven - Be There. 5/4/2002
An old friend from the North
Coast days, 37415 enters Shrewsbury with 1Z43 the 15.20 Wales
& Borders service from Cardiff Central to Crewe. CLICK

Purple Deltic 9016 "Gordon
Highlander" was still around the Crewe area today.
Seen here on Crewe Diesel Depot pumps with 67008, the Deltic
left the depot shortly after this shot was taken and the rake
of stock protruding from the LNWR carriage sheds led me to believe
that it was out and about again. I was was leaving for Shrewsbury
so I don't know where it went. 3/4/2002
