Friday 14th January 2005, we have a chimney and at long last 44422 is looking dignified.

The cab end gets better by the day and the firebox is almost complete.
External painting is about to commence and the cab roof has been undercoated.
Work continues on the tender the current task being to strengthen the coal bunker where corrosion has taken its toll.
