Froghall Station on The
Churnet Valley Railway
in North Staffordshire and two DMU sets wait to head down the
valley with a shareholder's special to Oakamoor. This section
of track is not normally open for public use but special dispensation
has been give to operate DMU services on four days per year.
This day was set aside for shareholders but on 27th and 28th
of September the service will be open for public use. The event
will be part of the Scenic Railcar weekend which will include
a Sandite working. It's well worth a visit so don't miss the
opportunity to travel on this normally inaccessible section of
