The
recent lack of updates has been due to a reorganisation at Totalise
which has resulted in their webspace server being moved and upgraded.
Like most similar exercises the upgrade is worse than the original.
My problem is that the allocated webspace was downgraded to 20MB
which means that the site is full and I cannot upload anything.
Several promises have been made but in the meantime I am having
to borrow space from other sites. Thanks for your patience. IJB |

Conwy station and
D1733, alias 47853 "Rail Express", drifts
through with the 9.19 Holyhead-London in the final week of Virgin
loco hauled operations on the North Wales Coast. 24/9/2002 |
The afternoon London service is
scheduled for an HST but, today, it is loco hauled. With 47818
"Strathclyde" in charge, the train coasted
into Colwyn Bay station. 24/9/2002

A classic sight
on a beautiful day in sunny, downtown Colwyn Bay. 24/9/2002 |

|
The Virgin service
is closely followed by FNW's 14.02 Holyhead-Birmingham train,
seen here leaving Colwyn Bay, hauled by 47733 "Eastern
Star" 24/9/2002 |
Away to Chester, Crewe and Birmingham.
24/9/2002
The final(?) loco hauled FNW Holyhead-Birmingham
train entering Colwyn Bay as the 14.02 with 47761 in charge. 27/9/2002
A token thrash as it leaves.

THE END - OK there will be other loco hauled
trains but only one each way between Holyhead and Manchester
and not via Crewe to Birmingham. The darkening evenings and mornings
will eventually preclude any decent photographs at the favourite
coastal haunts but we will try WON'T WE!!! 27/9/2002 |
