37704 appeared
on the Sandbach acid run. 30/5/2002

Minutes before,
47817 "The Institution of Mechanical Engineers"
had brought the train in from North Wales. 21/5/2002

It was a busy
day at Crewe with the Stoke line closed, all the Manchester trains
were running through the station and there were plenty of them
too. 86231 "Starlight Express" peels off
towards Mancunium while a DVT waits to pass through the up centre
road. 21/5/2002

A Serco test train
had waited for quite some time North of the station and eventually
ran through with 47732 "Restormel" leading
and 47734 "Crewe Diesel Depot" attached
to the rear. 21/5/2002

90046 appears
to be still on hire to Virgin as it pauses in platform 5. 21/5/2002

47787 "Windsor
Castle" posing in the sunshine on the diesel depot
at Crewe. 21/5/2002

Plenty of Class
221 Super Voyager tilting trains about today (they can't tilt
yet!) and 221 105 was stopped in platform 5 with 221 110 leading
en route for Bournemouth. This shot shows the bogie detail. 21/5/2002
