Initially, and up to December 2001 the photographs were taken with a Kodak DC280 after which a disastrous Minolta Dimage 7 was used. A Canon EOS300D came on the scene in December 2005 and was replaced by a Canon 5D MkII in January 2009.
Virtually all pictures are now taken in "Raw" setting and are processed by either Canon's dedicated software or Photoshop CS2 when I can understand it.
PC is a purpose built machine operating on Windows 7 (64 bit) with a hefty set of innards which include a whacking 1.3TB of hard drive storage. Sadly Canon are still having difficulty in adapting to 64 bit environment and high definition screens. The screen is a Dell SP2309W, which has much better definition and brilliance. The screen has been calibrated and is constantly adjusted by means of a Pantone "Huey" screen calibrator, a nifty device that transformed the screen/printer relationship after a printer profile had been obtained. Older images will now appear lighter by comparison because the CRT screen had lost its brilliance and was over compensating.
The site is constructed using Adobe Pagemill, a long defunct and much missed piece of software. My particular copy was supplied free with a software bundle included with an Epson GT7000 scanner.
The site is hosted by ImageLinkUSA, a personable organisation apparently established by photographers, frustrated by what was available at the time, to display their works.
