A RAIL37 Churnet Valley Railway picture report

Froghall Station approaches completion and how good it looks too.

4141 arriving at Froghall with the first train of the day.

Looking smart as it runs round the train after taking water.

I rode up to Cheddleton, via Leekbrook, to keep my usual date with the Boat Inn kitchen and then walked down the canal towpath to see the train return from Froghall. I have spent many summers at Cheddleton but today was really the hottest day I can ever remember. 4141 trundled its way through the lush undergrowth, out of place but still looking good.

Of course, the Churnet valley is not just about railways......

A walk back to the station to see 4141 return from Leekbrook.

Timeless! This young man was mesmerised by the scene.

Back to Froghall again and 4141 takes water.
