Coverage of specific events and special trains operating around Crewe and along the North Wales Coast from 2000 onwards...
RAIL37 is a photographic site recording just some of the special and day-to-day events at Crewe Station and along The North Wales Coast Line. Inspired by Charlie Hulme's enlightened North Wales Coast Railway site and with Charlie's generous assistance, I am, quite simply, having fun during these years of intense change. Photographs were initially produced by a Kodak DC280, from December 2001 by a Minolta Dimage 7 and since January 2005 by a canon EOS 300D. The shots are displayed in low definition format to conserve server space.     I offer no excuses for using the site to openly promote The Churnet Valley Railway the embryo of which I helped to establish in 1971.
Similarly I promote the 44422 Locomotive Fund of which I have the privilege to serve on the controlling committee.
As if that were not enough, I am a trustee of The Class 4 Preservation Trust Ltd, charged with conserving standard tank 80136 and austerity 68030.
